Another student piece for The Royal Ballet School, this time with a more academic flavour, and one which I went on to revise and develop for Birmingham Royal Ballet.
I have always loved the classicism of Petipa, Balanchine and Ashton, (the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!) and have been frequently, and sometimes fatally, drawn to playing them at their own game!
